For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 104 expected. WHERE Bedford, Blair, and Fulton Counties. WHEN For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT Thursday. For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Thursday to 8 PM EDT Friday. IMPACTS Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. ADDITIONAL DETAILS High temperatures will be well into the 90s and may hit 100 degrees. Heat index values will be even higher. While temperatures will remain hot on Saturday, they should be a couple of degrees lower.
