Total snow accumulations 1 to 2 feet. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph Monday decreasing to 50 mph Tuesday creating blowing and drifting snow along with whiteout conditions at times. * WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. Greatest snow accumulation expected south of Watertown and Fort Drum. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected starting late Monday afternoon continuing into Tuesday and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel will remain very difficult with hazardous conditions from lake effect snow continuing to impact travel through the week. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow is expected oscillate several times downwind of Lake Ontario this week.
