Patchy dense fog has been developing across the North Carolina foothills and into the I-77 corridor near the North Carolina/Virginia state border. Visibilities of one mile are likely, with patches of fog allowing less than half of a mile may be possible. Use extra caution when driving, as visibility conditions may change rapidly. Turn on hazard lights when driving in regions of dense fog to increase awareness of your location for other drivers.
