Patchy Dense Fog has developed across locations in the North Carolina foothills and Piedmont, mainly west of the I-77 corridor. Patchy Dense Fog has also developed in portions of Upstate South Carolina, mainly east of the I-26 Corridor. Visibility may decrease suddenly and over short distances. Motorists traveling in these areas should use extra caution. Slow down, increase following distance, and turn on your low-beam headlights. The fog should begin to dissipate by 9 AM EST.
