Light snow has begun to overspread the area this evening and is expected to persist overnight. Snow accumulations will generally be around 1", except near Lake Michigan where lingering lake effect snow showers may result in 1-3". Slick, icy, and snow covered roads are expected overnight due to cold temperatures. Slick spots will be most common on secondary roads, untreated surfaces, bridges, and overpasses. If traveling overnight, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for winter driving conditions.
