Allergies & Pollen Count for Village of Nagog Woods, Massachusetts
Discussion
The amount of pollen in the air for Thursday will be on the increase in the moderate range. This higher level is caused in part by rising temperatures, strong winds and lower relative humidity. The increase of this magnitude could make it more difficult for those with allergies.
Allergy Facts
In people with normal immune systems, no reaction occurs when pollen lands on the mucous membrane of the eyes, nose, throat or lungs. But in those people with a malfunctioning immune system, the protein in the pollen sets off an allergic response that causes the symptoms of hayfever.
