Be ready for a sudden drop in visibility to near zero. If you encounter blowing dust or blowing sand on the roadway or see it approaching, pull off the road as far as possible and put your vehicle in park. -# HEADLINE -------------------- CRITICAL TO EXTREMELY CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SUNDAY FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO, AND WEST TEXAS RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR CRITICALLY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, STRONG WINDS, AND DRY FUELS FOR THE SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL LOWLANDS # SUMMARY -------------------- .A Pacific storm system, passing though the southwest and over the Four Corners region will keep our area dry, and increase the winds later this morning. This will elevate fire danger to critical to extremely critical across Southwest and South Central New Mexico, as well as Far West Texas. Wind gusts, from the southwest, will increase up to 60 mph or greater this afternoon. Minimum relative humidity will range from 10-15 percent lowlands to 15-20 percent mountains.
