Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. Ice accumulations around a light glaze possible for Bristol Bay Borough. * WHERE...Bristol Bay Borough (Naknek and King Salmon), Inland Bristol Bay, and Northern Bristol Bay Coast. * WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST this evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant visibility reductions in blowing snow are no longer expected as winds have diminished and temperatures have warmed. Another round of wintry mix (sleet, freezing rain, and rain) is possible for the Naknek and King Salmon areas through the afternoon before precipitation changes back to snow this evening. Other portions of Bristol Bay will see precipitation stay all snow. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous. -Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Anchorage AK 459 PM AKST Sun Jan 4 2026 Bristol Bay Borough (Naknek and King Salmon)- Northern Bristol Bay Coast-Lake Iliamna / Nila Vena / Nanvarpak- 459 PM AKST Sun Jan 4 2026 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MONDAY TO 1 AM AKST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Water levels as high as 5 to 8 ft above the normal highest tide line. * WHERE...Coastline from Dillingham to Naknek. * WHEN...Late Monday morning into very early Tuesday morning. Highest water levels expected during the high tide between 3pm and 7pm AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Coastal flooding of low lying areas and erosion are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southwesterly winds gusting 45 to 50 mph over Bristol Bay waters late Monday morning will increase wave heights along the coast. This timeframe coinciding with the high tide Monday evening will promote coastal waters rising 5 to 8 ft above the normal highest tide line.
